Chapitre  10

1 Ry rahalahy, ny irin'ny foko sy ny angatahiko amin'Andriamanitra ho an'ireny dia famonjena.

2 Fa vavolombelon'ireny aho fa mazoto ho an'Andriamanitra izy, saingy tsy araka ny fahalalana.

3 Fa satria tsy nahalala ny fahamarinana avy amin'Andriamanitra izy ka nitady hanamarina ny tenany, dia tsy nanaiky ny fahamarinana avy amin'Andriamanitra.

4 Fa Kristy no faran'ny lalàna ho fahamarinana ho an'izay rehetra mino.

5 Fa Mosesy nanoratra milaza fa izay olona manao ny fahamarinana avy amin'ny lalàna no ho velona amin'izany (Lev. 18. 5).

6 Fa ny fahamarinana izay avy amin'ny finoana kosa manao hoe: Aza milaza ao am-ponao hoe; Iza no hiakatra any an-danitra? (dia ny hampidina an'i Kristy izany,)

7 na: Iza no hidina any amin'ny lalina? (dia ny hampiakatra an'i Kristy avy any amin'ny maty izany.)

8 Fa ahoana no lazainy? Eo akaikinao ny teny, dia eo am-bavanao sy ao am-ponao (Deo. 30. 12-14), dia ny teny ny amin'ny finoana, izay torinay;

9 satria raha manaiky an'i Jesosy ho Tompo amin'ny vavanao ianao ary mino amin'ny fonao fa Andriamanitra efa nanangana Azy tamin'ny maty, dia hovonjena ianao.

10 Fa amin'ny fo no inoana hahazoana fahamarinana, ary amin'ny vava no anekena hahazoana famonjena.

11 Fa hoy ny Soratra Masina: Tsy ho menatra izay rehetra mino Azy (Isa. 28. 16).

12 Fa tsy misy hafa, na Jiosy na jentilisa*, fa iray ihany no Tompon'izy rehetra, sady manan-karena homeny izay rehetra miantso Ary Izy. [*Gr. Grika]

13 Fa izay rehetra miantso ny anaran'ny Tompo no hovonjena (Joe. 3. 5).

14 Hataony ahoana ary no fiantso izay tsy ninoany? Ary hataony ahoana no fino izay Olona tsy reny? Ary hataony ahoana no fandre raha tsy misy mpitory?

15 Ary hataony ahoana no fitory, raha tsy nirahina? araka ny voasoratra hoe: Akory ny hatsaran'ny tongotr'iry mitondra teny soa mahafaly! (Isa. 52. 7).

16 Nefa tsy izy rehetra no nanaiky ny teny soa mahafaly*. Fa hoy Isaia: Jehovah ô, iza no nino ny teny nampitondraina anay? (Isa. 53. 1.)

17 Koa ny finoana dia avy amin'ny tori-teny, ary ny tori-teny kosa avy amin'ny tenin'i Kristy.

18 Fa hoy izaho: Sao tsy nahare izy? Tsia; fa Efa nivoaka ho any amin'ny tany rehetra ny feony, Ary izay mino Ary tsy ho menatra, Ary ny teniny hatramin'ny faran'izao rehetra izao (Sal. 19. 4). [* Na: filazantsara]

19 Fa hoy izaho: Sao tsy nahalala ny Isiraely? Voalohany, Mosesy manao hoe: Izaho hampialona anareo amin'izay tsy firenena, Dia amin'ny firenena adala no hampahasosorako anareo (Deo. 32. 21).

20 Fa sahy mihitsy Isaia ka manao hoe: Hitan'izay tsy nitady Ahy Aho, Ary niseho tamin'izay tsy nanontany Ahy.

21 Fa ny amin'ny Isiraely dia hoy izy: Mandritra ny andro no efa naninjirako ny tanako tamin'izay firenena sady tsy manaraka no mandà (Isa. 65. 1. 2).

10:1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved. 10:2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 10:3 For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 10:5 For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.”* 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’* (that is, to bring Christ down); 10:7 or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’* (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)” 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart”;* that is, the word of faith, which we preach: 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10:10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 10:11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”*

10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. 10:13 For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”* 10:14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? 10:15 And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace,
who bring glad tidings of good things!”*
10:16 But they didn’t all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”* 10:17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 10:18 But I say, didn’t they hear? Yes, most certainly,

“Their sound went out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.”*
10:19 But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says,

“I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation,
with a nation void of understanding I will make you angry.”*
10:20 Isaiah is very bold, and says,

“I was found by those who didn’t seek me.
I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.”*
10:21 But as to Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”*

1 Frères, le voeu de mon coeur et ma prière à Dieu pour eux, c'est qu'ils soient sauvés. 2 Je leur rends le témoignage qu'ils ont du zèle pour Dieu, mais sans intelligence: 3 ne connaissant pas la justice de Dieu, et cherchant à établir leur propre justice, ils ne se sont pas soumis à la justice de Dieu; 4 car Christ est la fin de la loi, pour la justification de tous ceux qui croient. 5 En effet, Moïse définit ainsi la justice qui vient de la loi: L'homme qui mettra ces choses en pratique vivra par elles. 6 Mais voici comment parle la justice qui vient de la foi: Ne dis pas en ton coeur: Qui montera au ciel? c'est en faire descendre Christ; 7 ou: Qui descendra dans l'abîme? c'est faire remonter Christ d'entre les morts. 8 Que dit-elle donc? La parole est près de toi, dans ta bouche et dans ton coeur. Or, c'est la parole de la foi, que nous prêchons. 9 Si tu confesses de ta bouche le Seigneur Jésus, et si tu crois dans ton coeur que Dieu l'a ressuscité des morts, tu seras sauvé. 10 Car c'est en croyant du coeur qu'on parvient à la justice, et c'est en confessant de la bouche qu'on parvient au salut, 11 (10:10) selon ce que dit l'Écriture: (10:11) Quiconque croit en lui ne sera point confus. 12 Il n'y a aucune différence, en effet, entre le Juif et le Grec, puisqu'ils ont tous un même Seigneur, qui est riche pour tous ceux qui l'invoquent. 13 Car quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur sera sauvé. 14 Comment donc invoqueront-ils celui en qui ils n'ont pas cru? Et comment croiront-ils en celui dont ils n'ont pas entendu parler? Et comment en entendront-ils parler, s'il n'y a personne qui prêche? 15 Et comment y aura-t-il des prédicateurs, s'ils ne sont pas envoyés? selon qu'il est écrit: Qu'ils sont beaux Les pieds de ceux qui annoncent la paix, De ceux qui annoncent de bonnes nouvelles! 16 Mais tous n'ont pas obéi à la bonne nouvelle. Aussi Ésaïe dit-il: Seigneur, Qui a cru à notre prédication? 17 Ainsi la foi vient de ce qu'on entend, et ce qu'on entend vient de la parole de Christ. 18 Mais je dis: N'ont-ils pas entendu? Au contraire! Leur voix est allée par toute la terre, Et leurs paroles jusqu'aux extrémités du monde. 19 Mais je dis: Israël ne l'a-t-il pas su? Moïse le premier dit: J'exciterai votre jalousie par ce qui n'est point une nation, je provoquerai votre colère par une nation sans intelligence. 20 Et Ésaïe pousse la hardiesse jusqu'à dire: J'ai été trouvé par ceux qui ne me cherchaient pas, Je me suis manifesté à ceux qui ne me demandaient pas. 21 Mais au sujet d'Israël, il dit: J'ai tendu mes mains tout le jour vers un peuple rebelle Et contredisant.
