2 Ka atongilanao amin'ny fahendrena ny sofinao, Ary ampitandremanao fahalalana ny fonao;

3 Eny, raha miantso ny fahalalana ianao Ary manandratra ny feonao hahazo saina,

4 Raha mitady azy toy ny fitady volafotsy ianao Ary mikatsaka azy toy ny fikatsaka harena afenina:

5 Dia ho fantatrao marina ny fahatahorana an'i Jehovah, Ary ho hitanao ny fahalalana an'Andriamanitra.

6 Fa Jehovah no manome fahendrena; Avy amin'ny vavany no ihavian'ny fahalalana sy ny fahazavan-tsaina.

7 Izy mitahiry fanambinana*ho an'ny mahitsy Sady ampingan'izay mandeha tsy misy tsiny;[Na: tena fahendrena]

8 Ka dia mitandrina ny lalan'ny fahamarinana Izy Ary miambina ny lalan'ny olony masina.

9 Ary amin'izay dia ho fantatrao ny fahamarinana sy ny rariny Ary ny hitsiny, dia ny lalana tsara rehetra.

10 Raha latsaka ao am-ponao ny fahendrena, Ary* mamin'ny fanahinao ny fahalalana,[Na: Fa ho tafiditra ao am-ponao ny fahendrena, Ka ho]

11 Dia hiaro anao ny fisainana mazava, Ary hiambina anao ny fahalalana,

12 Ka hamonjy anao amin'ny lalan-dratsy Sy amin'ny lehilahy izay miteny fitaka,

13 Izay mahafoy ny lalan'ny fahamarinana Mba hizorany amin'ny lalan'ny fahamaizinana,

14 Dia izay faly hanao ratsy Sy finaritra amin'ny fitaky ny ratsy,

15 Dia izay melo-dalana Sy maniasia amin'ny alehany;

16 Ary hamonjy anao amin'ny vehivavy jejo* koa izany, Dia amin'ny vahiny janga izay mandrobo amin'ny teniny,[Heb. vehivavy tsy vadinao]

17 Izay mahafoy ny vadin*'ny fahatanorany Sy manadino ny fanekeny teo amin'Andriamaniny.[Heb. sakaizan']

18 Fa ny tranony milentika ho amin'ny fahafatesana, Ary ny alehany mankany amin'ny maty.

19 Tsy misy afa-miverina izay mankany aminy, Na mihazo amin'ny lalan'aina,

20 Handehananao amin'ny lalan'ny tsara fanahy Sy hitandremanao ny alehan'ny marina.

21 Fa ny olona mahitsy no honina amin'ny tany, Ary ny tsy manan-tsiny ihany no ho sisa mitoetra ao;

22 Fa ny ratsy fanahy kosa hofongorana amin'ny tany, Ary ny mpivadika hongotana.

Chapitre  2
2:1 My son, if you will receive my words,
and store up my commandments within you;
2:2 So as to turn your ear to wisdom,
and apply your heart to understanding;
2:3 Yes, if you call out for discernment,
and lift up your voice for understanding;
2:4 If you seek her as silver,
and search for her as for hidden treasures:
2:5 then you will understand the fear of Yahweh,
and find the knowledge of God.
2:6 For Yahweh gives wisdom.
Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
2:7 He lays up sound wisdom for the upright.
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity;
2:8 that he may guard the paths of justice,
and preserve the way of his saints.
2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
equity and every good path.
2:10 For wisdom will enter into your heart.
Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
2:11 Discretion will watch over you.
Understanding will keep you,
2:12 to deliver you from the way of evil,
from the men who speak perverse things;
2:13 who forsake the paths of uprightness,
to walk in the ways of darkness;
2:14 who rejoice to do evil,
and delight in the perverseness of evil;
2:15 who are crooked in their ways,
and wayward in their paths:
2:16 To deliver you from the strange woman,
even from the foreigner who flatters with her words;
2:17 who forsakes the friend of her youth,
and forgets the covenant of her God:
2:18 for her house leads down to death,
her paths to the dead.
2:19 None who go to her return again,
neither do they attain to the paths of life:
2:20 that you may walk in the way of good men,
and keep the paths of the righteous.
2:21 For the upright will dwell in the land.
The perfect will remain in it.
2:22 But the wicked will be cut off from the land.
The treacherous will be rooted out of it.

Chapitre  2
1 Mon fils, si tu reçois mes paroles, Et si tu gardes avec toi mes préceptes, 2 Si tu rends ton oreille attentive à la sagesse, Et si tu inclines ton coeur à l'intelligence; 3 Oui, si tu appelles la sagesse, Et si tu élèves ta voix vers l'intelligence, 4 Si tu la cherches comme l'argent, Si tu la poursuis comme un trésor, 5 Alors tu comprendras la crainte de l'Éternel, Et tu trouveras la connaissance de Dieu. 6 Car l'Éternel donne la sagesse; De sa bouche sortent la connaissance et l'intelligence; 7 Il tient en réserve le salut pour les hommes droits, Un bouclier pour ceux qui marchent dans l'intégrité, 8 En protégeant les sentiers de la justice Et en gardant la voie de ses fidèles. 9 Alors tu comprendras la justice, l'équité, La droiture, toutes les routes qui mènent au bien. 10 Car la sagesse viendra dans ton coeur, Et la connaissance fera les délices de ton âme; 11 La réflexion veillera sur toi, L'intelligence te gardera, 12 Pour te délivrer de la voie du mal, De l'homme qui tient des discours pervers, 13 De ceux qui abandonnent les sentiers de la droiture Afin de marcher dans des chemins ténébreux, 14 Qui trouvent de la jouissance à faire le mal, Qui mettent leur plaisir dans la perversité, 15 Qui suivent des sentiers détournés, Et qui prennent des routes tortueuses; 16 Pour te délivrer de la femme étrangère, De l'étrangère qui emploie des paroles doucereuses, 17 Qui abandonne l'ami de sa jeunesse, Et qui oublie l'alliance de son Dieu; 18 Car sa maison penche vers la mort, Et sa route mène chez les morts: 19 Aucun de ceux qui vont à elle ne revient, Et ne retrouve les sentiers de la vie. 20 Tu marcheras ainsi dans la voie des gens de bien, Tu garderas les sentiers des justes. 21 Car les hommes droits habiteront le pays, Les hommes intègres y resteront; 22 Mais les méchants seront retranchés du pays, Les infidèles en seront arrachés.
