Chapitre 35

1 [Ny hanomezana tanàna ho an'ny Levita] Ary Jehovah niteny tamin'i Mosesy teo Arbota-moaba, amoron'i Jordana tandrifin'i Jeriko, ka nanao hoe:

2 Mandidia ny Zanak'Isiraely mba hanome tanàna ao amin'ny zara-taniny avy honenan'ny Levita; ary homenareo tany manodidina ny tanàna koa izy.

3 Koa ny tanàna dia honenany; ary ny tany dia ho an'ny biby fiompiny sy ny fananany mbamin'ny bibiny rehetra.

4 Ary ny tany manodidina ny tanàna izay homenareo ny Levita dia izao: Hatramin'ny màndan'ny tanàna ka hatramin'ny faritry ny taniny dia arivo hakiho amin'ny lafiny efatra avy.

5 Dia handrefy roa arivo hakiho eo ivelan'ny tanàna ianareo amin'ny lafiny atsinanana, ary roa arivo hakiho amin'ny lafiny atsimo, ary roa arivo hakiho amin'ny lafiny andrefana, ary roa arivo hakiho amin'ny lafiny avaratra, ary ny tanàna dia ho eo afovoany; izany no ho taniny manodidina ny tanàna.

6 Ary izao no tanàna izay homenareo ny Levita: dia tanàna enina, fandosirana, izay homenareo handosiran'izay nahafaty olona, sy tanàna roa amby efa-polo koa.

7 Koa ny tanàna rehetra izay homenareo ny Levita dia valo amby efa-polo mbamin'ny tany manodidina azy.

8 Ary ny amin'ny tanàna izay homenareo avy amin'ny zara-tanin'ny firenen'ny Zanak'Isiraely, dia izay be no hanalanareo be, ary izay kely no hanalanareo kely: samy hanome tanàna ho an'ny Levita izy rehetra araka ny zara-taniny avy.

9 [Ny hifidianana tanàna handosiran'izay nahafaty olona tsy nahy] Ary Jehovah niteny tamin'i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:

10 Mitenena amin'ny Zanak'Isiraely hoe: Rehefa tafita an'i Jordana ianareo ka tonga any amin'ny tany Kanana,

11 dia hifidy tanàna ianareo, ho tanàna fandosirana ho anareo, mba handosiran'izay nahafaty olona tsy nahy.

12 Dia ho fandosirana ho anareo mba tsy ho azon'ny mpamaly rà izany tanàna izany, mba tsy ho faty izay nahafaty olona mandra-pisehony hotsaraina eo anatrehan'ny fiangonana.

13 Ary ireo tanàna homenareo ireo dia ho tanàna fandosirana enina ho anareo.

14 Ny tanàna telo dia homenareo etỳ an-dafin'i Jordana etỳ, ary ny tanàna telo kosa homenareo ao amin'ny tany Kanana; ho tanàna fandosirana ireo.

15 Ireo tanàna enina ireo dia ho fandosirana ho an'ny Zanak'Isiraely sy ny vahiny ary ny mpitoetra ao aminy, mba handosiran'izay rehetra nahafaty olona tsy nahy.

16 Kanefa raha misy mamely vy olona ka mahafaty, dia nahafaty olona izy; hatao maty tokoa izay nahafaty olona.

17 Ary raha misy mamely vato olona ka mahafaty, dia nahafaty olona izy; hatao maty tokoa izay nahafaty olona.

18 Ary raha misy mamely hazo olona ka mahafaty, dia nahafaty olona izy; hatao maty tokoa izay nahafaty olona.

19 Ny mpamaly rà no mahazo mamono azy; raha mihaona aminy izy, dia mahazo mamono azy.

20 Ary raha misy mamely olona noho ny lolom-po, na mitoraka olona amin'ny fanotrehana, ka mahafaty,

21 na mamely amin'ny tànany noho ny fandrafiana ka mahafaty, dia hatao maty tokoa ilay namely; nahafaty olona izy; ny mpamaly rà no mahazo mamono azy, raha mihaona aminy izy.

22 Fa raha misy mamely olona tsy nahy, ka tsy noho ny fandrafiana, na mitoraka olona na amin'inona na amin'inona, nefa tsy amin'ny fanotrehana,

23 na sendra manjera vato ka mahafaty olona, nefa tsy hitany, sady tsy fahavalony izy, na mitady handratra azy,

24 dia hotsarain'ny fiangonana ilay namely sy ny mpamaly rà araka izany lalàna izany.

25 Ary hovonjen'ny fiangonana ho afaka amin'ny mpamaly rà ilay nahafaty olona, ka hateriny indray ho ao amin'ny tanàna fandosirana izay nalehany tamin'izy nandositra; ary hitoetra ao izy mandra-pahafatin'ny mpisoronabe izay voahosotra tamin'ny diloilo masina.

26 Fa raha mivoaka ho eo ivelan'ny tanàna fandosirana izay nalehany tamin'izy nandositra ilay nahafaty olona

27 ka hitan'ny mpamaly rà eo ivelan'ny tanàna, dia azony vonoina izy; ary tsy hisy valin-drà amin'izany,

28 satria tokony ho nitoetra tao an-tanàna fandosirana izy mandra-pahafatin'ny mpisoronabe; fa rehefa maty ny mpisoronabe, dia mahazo mody any amin'ny zara-taniny ihany ilay nahafaty olona.

29 Ary izany zavatra izany dia ho lalàna hitondrana anareo hatramin'ny taranakareo fara mandimby eny amin'izay rehetra onenanareo.

30 Ny amin'izay rehetra mahafaty olona, dia hatao maty izay mahafaty, araka ny tenin'ny vavolombelona; nefa raha vavolombelona iray monja, dia tsy ampy hanameloka hahafaty olona izany.

31 Ary ianareo tsy handray avotry ny ain'ny nahafaty olona, izay meloka ka tokony ho faty; fa hatao maty tokoa izy.

32 Ary ianareo tsy handray avotra ho an'izay mandositra ho ao an-tanàna fandosirana, mba hodiany indray hitoetra amin'ny taniny, raha mbola tsy maty ny mpisorona.

33 Ary aza mametaveta ny tany izay onenanareo, fa ny rà dia fametavetana ny tany; ary ny tany tsy azo anaovana fanavotana ny amin'ny rà izay nalatsaka teo, afa-tsy amin'ny ran'izay nandatsaka azy ihany.

34 Ary aza lotoinareo ny tany onenanareo, izay itoerako; fa Izaho Jehovah mitoetra eo amin'ny Zanak'Isiraely.

 

Chapitre 35

35:1 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, 35:2 “Command the children of Israel that they give to the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and you shall give suburbs for the cities around them to the Levites. 35:3 The cities shall they have to dwell in; and their suburbs shall be for their livestock, and for their substance, and for all their animals.

35:4 “The suburbs of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward one thousand cubits around it. 35:5 You shall measure outside of the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

35:6 “The cities which you shall give to the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the manslayer to flee to: and besides them you shall give forty-two cities. 35:7 All the cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be forty-eight cities together with their suburbs. 35:8 Concerning the cities which you shall give of the possession of the children of Israel, from the many you shall take many; and from the few you shall take few: everyone according to his inheritance which he inherits shall give of his cities to the Levites.” 35:9 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 35:10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 35:11 then you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there. 35:12 The cities shall be to you for refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer not die, until he stands before the congregation for judgment. 35:13 The cities which you shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge. 35:14 You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan; they shall be cities of refuge. 35:15 For the children of Israel, and for the stranger and for the foreigner living among them, shall these six cities be for refuge; that everyone who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

35:16 “‘But if he struck him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. 35:17 If he struck him with a stone in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. 35:18 Or if he struck him with a weapon of wood in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. 35:19 The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death: when he meets him, he shall put him to death. 35:20 If he thrust him of hatred, or hurled at him, lying in wait, so that he died, 35:21 or in enmity struck him with his hand, so that he died; he who struck him shall surely be put to death; he is a murderer: the avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death, when he meets him.

35:22 “‘But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or hurled on him anything without lying in wait, 35:23 or with any stone, by which a man may die, not seeing him, and cast it on him, so that he died, and he was not his enemy, neither sought his harm; 35:24 then the congregation shall judge between the striker and the avenger of blood according to these ordinances; 35:25 and the congregation shall deliver the manslayer out of the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to his city of refuge, where he was fled: and he shall dwell therein until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

35:26 “‘But if the manslayer shall at any time go beyond the border of his city of refuge, where he flees, 35:27 and the avenger of blood find him outside of the border of his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood kill the manslayer; he shall not be guilty of blood, 35:28 because he should have remained in his city of refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the manslayer shall return into the land of his possession.

35:29 “‘These things shall be for a statute and ordinance to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

35:30 “‘Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be slain at the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person that he die.

35:31 “‘Moreover you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death; but he shall surely be put to death.

35:32 “‘You shall take no ransom for him who is fled to his city of refuge, that he may come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.

35:33 “‘So you shall not pollute the land in which you are: for blood, it pollutes the land; and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him who shed it. 35:34 You shall not defile the land which you inhabit, in the midst of which I dwell: for I, Yahweh, dwell in the midst of the children of Israel.’”

 

Chapitre 35
1 L'Éternel parla à Moïse, dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho. Il dit: 2 Ordonne aux enfants d'Israël d'accorder aux Lévites, sur l'héritage qu'ils posséderont, des villes où ils puissent habiter. Vous donnerez aussi aux Lévites une banlieue autour de ces villes. 3 Ils auront les villes pour y habiter; et les banlieues seront pour leur bétail, pour leurs biens et pour tous leurs animaux. 4 Les banlieues des villes que vous donnerez aux Lévites auront, à partir du mur de la ville et au dehors, mille coudées tout autour. 5 Vous mesurerez, en dehors de la ville, deux mille coudées pour le côté oriental, deux mille coudées pour le côté méridional, deux mille coudées pour le côté occidental, et deux mille coudées pour le côté septentrional. La ville sera au milieu. Telles seront les banlieues de leurs villes. 6 Parmi les villes que vous donnerez aux Lévites, il y aura six villes de refuge où pourra s'enfuir le meurtrier, et quarante-deux autres villes. 7 Total des villes que vous donnerez aux Lévites: quarante-huit villes, avec leurs banlieues. 8 Les villes que vous donnerez sur les propriétés des enfants d'Israël seront livrées en plus grand nombre par ceux qui en ont le plus, et en plus petit nombre par ceux qui en ont moins; chacun donnera de ses villes aux Lévites à proportion de l'héritage qu'il possédera. 9 L'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit: 10 Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous aurez passé le Jourdain et que vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan, 11 vous vous établirez des villes qui soient pour vous des villes de refuge, où pourra s'enfuir le meurtrier qui aura tué quelqu'un involontairement. 12 Ces villes vous serviront de refuge contre le vengeur du sang, afin que le meurtrier ne soit point mis à mort avant d'avoir comparu devant l'assemblée pour être jugé. 13 Des villes que vous donnerez, six seront pour vous des villes de refuge. 14 Vous donnerez trois villes au delà du Jourdain, et vous donnerez trois villes dans le pays de Canaan: ce seront des villes de refuge. 15 Ces six villes serviront de refuge aux enfants d'Israël, à l'étranger et à celui qui demeure au milieu de vous: là pourra s'enfuir tout homme qui aura tué quelqu'un involontairement. 16 Si un homme frappe son prochain avec un instrument de fer, et que la mort en soit la suite, c'est un meurtrier: le meurtrier sera puni de mort. 17 S'il le frappe, tenant à la main une pierre qui puisse causer la mort, et que la mort en soit la suite, c'est un meurtrier: le meurtrier sera puni de mort. 18 S'il le frappe, tenant à la main un instrument de bois qui puisse causer la mort, et que la mort en soit la suite, c'est un meurtrier: le meurtrier sera puni de mort. 19 Le vengeur du sang fera mourir le meurtrier; quand il le rencontrera, il le tuera. 20 Si un homme pousse son prochain par un mouvement de haine, ou s'il jette quelque chose sur lui avec préméditation, et que la mort en soit la suite, 21 ou s'il le frappe de sa main par inimitié, et que la mort en soit la suite, celui qui a frappé sera puni de mort, c'est un meurtrier: le vengeur du sang tuera le meurtrier, quand il le rencontrera. 22 Mais si un homme pousse son prochain subitement et non par inimitié, ou s'il jette quelque chose sur lui sans préméditation, 23 ou s'il fait tomber sur lui par mégarde une pierre qui puisse causer la mort, et que la mort en soit la suite, sans qu'il ait de la haine contre lui et qu'il lui cherche du mal, 24 voici les lois d'après lesquelles l'assemblée jugera entre celui qui a frappé et le vengeur du sang. 25 L'assemblée délivrera le meurtrier de la main du vengeur du sang, et le fera retourner dans la ville de refuge où il s'était enfui. Il y demeurera jusqu'à la mort du souverain sacrificateur qu'on a oint de l'huile sainte. 26 Si le meurtrier sort du territoire de la ville de refuge où il s'est enfui, 27 et si le vengeur du sang le rencontre hors du territoire de la ville de refuge et qu'il tue le meurtrier, il ne sera point coupable de meurtre. 28 Car le meurtrier doit demeurer dans sa ville de refuge jusqu'à la mort du souverain sacrificateur; et après la mort du souverain sacrificateur, il pourra retourner dans sa propriété. 29 Voici des ordonnances de droit pour vous et pour vos descendants, dans tous les lieux où vous habiterez. 30 Si un homme tue quelqu'un, on ôtera la vie au meurtrier, sur la déposition de témoins. Un seul témoin ne suffira pas pour faire condamner une personne à mort. 31 Vous n'accepterez point de rançon pour la vie d'un meurtrier qui mérite la mort, car il sera puni de mort. 32 Vous n'accepterez point de rançon, qui lui permette de s'enfuir dans sa ville de refuge, et de retourner habiter dans le pays après la mort du sacrificateur. 33 Vous ne souillerez point le pays où vous serez, car le sang souille le pays; et il ne sera fait pour le pays aucune expiation du sang qui y sera répandu que par le sang de celui qui l'aura répandu. 34 Vous ne souillerez point le pays où vous allez demeurer, et au milieu duquel j'habiterai; car je suis l'Éternel, qui habite au milieu des enfants d'Israël.
