33:1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. 33:2 Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Yahweh: and these are their journeys according to their goings out. 33:3 They traveled from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the Passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians, 33:4 while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom Yahweh had struck among them: on their gods also Yahweh executed judgments. 33:5 The children of Israel traveled from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth. 33:6 They traveled from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness. 33:7 They traveled from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon: and they encamped before Migdol. 33:8 They traveled from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah. 33:9 They traveled from Marah, and came to Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there. 33:10 They traveled from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea. 33:11 They traveled from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin. 33:12 They traveled from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah. 33:13 They traveled from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush. 33:14 They traveled from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink. 33:15 They traveled from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai. 33:16 They traveled from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth Hattaavah. 33:17 They traveled from Kibroth Hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth. 33:18 They traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah. 33:19 They traveled from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon Perez. 33:20 They traveled from Rimmon Perez, and encamped in Libnah. 33:21 They traveled from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah. 33:22 They traveled from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah. 33:23 They traveled from Kehelathah, and encamped in Mount Shepher. 33:24 They traveled from Mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah. 33:25 They traveled from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth. 33:26 They traveled from Makheloth, and encamped in Tahath. 33:27 They traveled from Tahath, and encamped in Terah. 33:28 They traveled from Terah, and encamped in Mithkah. 33:29 They traveled from Mithkah, and encamped in Hashmonah. 33:30 They traveled from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth. 33:31 They traveled from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene Jaakan. 33:32 They traveled from Bene Jaakan, and encamped in Hor Haggidgad. 33:33 They traveled from Hor Haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah. 33:34 They traveled from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah. 33:35 They traveled from Abronah, and encamped in Ezion Geber. 33:36 They traveled from Ezion Geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin (the same is Kadesh). 33:37 They traveled from Kadesh, and encamped in Mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom. 33:38 Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of Yahweh, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month. 33:39 Aaron was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor. 33:40 The Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel. 33:41 They traveled from Mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah. 33:42 They traveled from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon. 33:43 They traveled from Punon, and encamped in Oboth. 33:44 They traveled from Oboth, and encamped in Iye Abarim, in the border of Moab. 33:45 They traveled from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon Gad. 33:46 They traveled from Dibon Gad, and encamped in Almon Diblathaim. 33:47 They traveled from Almon Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. 33:48 They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. 33:49 They encamped by the Jordan, from Beth Jeshimoth even to Abel Shittim in the plains of Moab. 33:50 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, 33:51 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, “When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 33:52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their stone idols, destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places. 33:53 You shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for I have given given the land to you to possess it. 33:54 You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.

33:55 “But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them will be as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you dwell. 33:56 It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.”

1 Voici les stations des enfants d'Israël qui sortirent du pays d'Égypte, selon leurs corps d'armée, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron. 2 Moïse écrivit leurs marches de station en station, d'après l'ordre de l'Éternel. Et voici leurs stations, selon leurs marches. 3 Ils partirent de Ramsès le premier mois, le quinzième jour du premier mois. Le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d'Israël sortirent la main levée, à la vue de tous les Égyptiens. 4 Et les Égyptiens enterraient ceux que l'Éternel avait frappés parmi eux, tous les premiers-nés; l'Éternel exerçait aussi des jugements contre leurs dieux. 5 Les enfants d'Israël partirent de Ramsès, et campèrent à Succoth. 6 Ils partirent de Succoth, et campèrent à Étham, qui est à l'extrémité du désert. 7 Ils partirent d'Étham, se détournèrent vers Pi-Hahiroth, vis-à-vis de Baal-Tsephon, et campèrent devant Migdol. 8 Ils partirent de devant Pi-Hahiroth, et passèrent au milieu de la mer dans la direction du désert; ils firent trois journées de marche dans le désert d'Étham, et campèrent à Mara. 9 Ils partirent de Mara, et arrivèrent à Élim; il y avait à Élim douze sources d'eau et soixante-dix palmiers: ce fut là qu'ils campèrent. 10 Ils partirent d'Élim, et campèrent près de la mer Rouge. 11 Ils partirent de la mer Rouge, et campèrent dans le désert de Sin. 12 Ils partirent du désert de Sin, et campèrent à Dophka. 13 Ils partirent de Dophka, et campèrent à Alusch. 14 Ils partirent d'Alusch, et campèrent à Rephidim, où le peuple ne trouva point d'eau à boire. 15 Ils partirent de Rephidim, et campèrent dans le désert de Sinaï. 16 Ils partirent du désert du Sinaï, et campèrent à Kibroth-Hattaava. 17 Ils partirent de Kibroth-Hattaava, et campèrent à Hatséroth. 18 Ils partirent de Hatséroth, et campèrent à Rithma. 19 Ils partirent de Rithma, et campèrent à Rimmon-Pérets. 20 Ils partirent de Rimmon-Pérets, et campèrent à Libna. 21 Ils partirent de Libna, et campèrent à Rissa. 22 Ils partirent de Rissa, et campèrent à Kehélatha. 23 Ils partirent de Kehélatha, et campèrent à la montagne de Schapher. 24 Ils partirent de la montagne de Schapher, et campèrent à Harada. 25 Ils partirent de Harada, et campèrent à Makhéloth. 26 Ils partirent de Makhéloth, et campèrent à Tahath. 27 Ils partirent de Tahath, et campèrent à Tarach. 28 Ils partirent de Tarach, et campèrent à Mithka. 29 Ils partirent de Mithka, et campèrent à Haschmona. 30 Ils partirent de Haschmona, et campèrent à Moséroth. 31 Ils partirent de Moséroth, et campèrent à Bené-Jaakan. 32 Ils partirent de Bené-Jaakan, et campèrent à Hor-Guidgad. 33 Ils partirent de Hor-Guidgad, et campèrent à Jothbatha. 34 Ils partirent de Jothbatha, et campèrent à Abrona. 35 Ils partirent d'Abrona, et campèrent à Etsjon-Guéber. 36 Ils partirent d'Etsjon-Guéber, et campèrent dans le désert de Tsin: c'est Kadès. 37 Ils partirent de Kadès, et campèrent à la montagne de Hor, à l'extrémité du pays d'Édom. 38 Le sacrificateur Aaron monta sur la montagne de Hor, suivant l'ordre de l'Éternel; et il y mourut, la quarantième année après la sortie des enfants d'Israël du pays d'Égypte, le cinquième mois, le premier jour du mois. 39 Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans lorsqu'il mourut sur la montagne de Hor. 40 Le roi d'Arad, Cananéen, qui habitait le midi du pays de Canaan, apprit l'arrivée des enfants d'Israël. 41 Ils partirent de la montagne de Hor, et campèrent à Tsalmona. 42 Ils partirent de Tsalmona, et campèrent à Punon. 43 Ils partirent de Punon, et campèrent à Oboth. 44 Ils partirent d'Oboth, et campèrent à Ijjé-Abarim, sur la frontière de Moab. 45 Ils partirent d'Ijjé-Abarim, et campèrent à Dibon-Gad. 46 Ils partirent de Dibon-Gad, et campèrent à Almon-Diblathaïm. 47 Ils partirent d'Almon-Diblathaïm, et campèrent aux montagnes d'Abarim, devant Nebo. 48 Ils partirent des montagnes d'Abarim, et campèrent dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho. 49 Ils campèrent près du Jourdain, depuis Beth-Jeschimoth jusqu'à Abel-Sittim, dans les plaines de Moab. 50 L'Éternel parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho. Il dit: 51 Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous aurez passé le Jourdain et que vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan, 52 vous chasserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays, vous détruirez toutes leurs idoles de pierre, vous détruirez toutes leurs images de fonte, et vous détruirez tous leurs hauts lieux. 53 Vous prendrez possession du pays, et vous vous y établirez; car je vous ai donné le pays, pour qu'il soit votre propriété. 54 Vous partagerez le pays par le sort, selon vos familles. A ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre vous donnerez une portion plus grande, et à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre vous donnerez une portion plus petite. Chacun possédera ce qui lui sera échu par le sort: vous le recevrez en propriété, selon les tribus de vos pères. 55 Mais si vous ne chassez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et des aiguillons dans vos côtés, ils seront vos ennemis dans le pays où vous allez vous établir. 56 Et il arrivera que je vous traiterai comme j'avais résolu de les traiter.
