Chapitre 42

1 [Ny teny farany nataon'i Joba, sy ny nanomezan'Andriamanitra azy fiadanana indray] Ary Joba dia namaly an'i Jehovah ka nanao hoe:

2 Fantatro fa hainao avokoa ny zavatra rehetra, ary tsy azo ferana ny fisainanao.

3 Iza no mahatakona ny fisainanao amin'ny tsi-fahalalana? Koa dia nilaza izay tsy fantatro aho, dia zava-mahagaga loatra amiko, izay tsy takatry ny saiko.

4 Mifona aminao aho, mihainoa, fa hiteny aho; Hanontany Anao aho, ka ampahafantaro.

5 Fandrenesan'ny sofina ihany no nandrenesako Anao; Fa ankehitriny izao kosa dia ny masoko no mahita Anao;

6 Koa dia miaiky sy mibebaka Eto amin'ny vovoka sy ny lavenona aho.

 7 Ary rehefa voalazan'i Jehovah tamin'i Joba izany teny izany, dia hoy koa Izy tamin'i Elifaza Temanita: Mirehitra aminao sy ny sakaizanao roa lahy ny fahatezerako satria tsy mba marina tahaka ny filàzan'i Joba mpanompoko ny filàzanareo Ahy.

8 Koa ankehitriny makà vantotr'ombilahy fito sy ondrilahy fito ho anareo, ary mankanesa ao amin'i Joba mpanompoko, ka manatera fanatitra dorana ho anareo; ary Joba mpanompoko no hifona ho anareo, fa izy no hankasitrahako, fandrao hamaly anareo araka ny fahadalanareo Aho, satria tsy marina tahaka ny filàzan'i Joba mpanompoko ny filàzanareo Ahy.

13 Ary nanan-janaka fito lahy sy vavy telo koa izy,

14 ka ny anaran'ny zokiny nataony hoe Jemima, ary ny anaran'ny manarakaraka Kezia, ary ny anaran'ny faravavy Kerena-hapoka.

15 Ary tsy nisy vehivavy tsara tarehy tahaka ny zanakavavin'i Joba hita tany amin'ny tany rehetra, ary niara-nomen-drainy lova tamin'ny anadahiny izy.

16 Ary mbola velona efa-polo amby zato taona Joba taorian'izany ka nahita ny zananilahy sy ny zafiny ka hatramin'ny zafin-dohaliny aza.

Chapitre 42

42:1 Then Job answered Yahweh,

42:2 “I know that you can do all things,
and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.
42:3 You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’
therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me, which I didn’t know.
42:4 You said, ‘Listen, now, and I will speak;
I will question you, and you will answer me.’
42:5 I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear,
but now my eye sees you.
42:6 Therefore I abhor myself,
and repent in dust and ashes.”

42:7 It was so, that after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has. 42:8 Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.”

42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Yahweh commanded them, and Yahweh accepted Job.

42:10 Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before. 42:11 Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.

42:12 So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys. 42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters. 42:14 He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch. 42:15 In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. 42:16 After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, to four generations. 42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.

Chapitre 42
1 Job répondit à l'Éternel et dit: 2 Je reconnais que tu peux tout, Et que rien ne s'oppose à tes pensées. 3 Quel est celui qui a la folie d'obscurcir mes desseins? -Oui, j'ai parlé, sans les comprendre, De merveilles qui me dépassent et que je ne conçois pas. 4 Écoute-moi, et je parlerai; Je t'interrogerai, et tu m'instruiras. 5 Mon oreille avait entendu parler de toi; Mais maintenant mon oeil t'a vu. 6 C'est pourquoi je me condamne et je me repens Sur la poussière et sur la cendre. 7 Après que l'Éternel eut adressé ces paroles à Job, il dit à Éliphaz de Théman: Ma colère est enflammée contre toi et contre tes deux amis, parce que vous n'avez pas parlé de moi avec droiture comme l'a fait mon serviteur Job. 8 Prenez maintenant sept taureaux et sept béliers, allez auprès de mon serviteur Job, et offrez pour vous un holocauste. Job, mon serviteur, priera pour vous, et c'est par égard pour lui seul que je ne vous traiterai pas selon votre folie; car vous n'avez pas parlé de moi avec droiture, comme l'a fait mon serviteur Job. 9 Éliphaz de Théman, Bildad de Schuach, et Tsophar de Naama allèrent et firent comme l'Éternel leur avait dit: et l'Éternel eut égard à la prière de Job. 10 L'Éternel rétablit Job dans son premier état, quand Job eut prié pour ses amis; et l'Éternel lui accorda le double de tout ce qu'il avait possédé. 11 Les frères, les soeurs, et les anciens amis de Job vinrent tous le visiter, et ils mangèrent avec lui dans sa maison. Ils le plaignirent et le consolèrent de tous les malheurs que l'Éternel avait fait venir sur lui, et chacun lui donna un kesita et un anneau d'or. 12 Pendant ses dernières années, Job reçut de l'Éternel plus de bénédictions qu'il n'en avait reçu dans les premières. Il posséda quatorze mille brebis, six mille chameaux, mille paires de boeufs, et mille ânesses. 13 Il eut sept fils et trois filles: 14 il donna à la première le nom de Jemima, à la seconde celui de Ketsia, et à la troisième celui de Kéren-Happuc. 15 Il n'y avait pas dans tout le pays d'aussi belles femmes que les filles de Job. Leur père leur accorda une part d'héritage parmi leurs frères. 16 Job vécut après cela cent quarante ans, et il vit ses fils et les fils de ses fils jusqu'à la quatrième génération. 17 Et Job mourut âgé et rassasié de jours.
