Chapitre 35

4 Izaho no hiteny hamaly anao Mbamin'ny namanao.

5 Jereo ary ny lanitra ka izahao; Ary tsinjovy iry habakabaka, avo loatra iny ka tsy takatrao.

6 Raha manota ianao, moa mahefa inona aminy? Ary raha maro ny fahotanao, mampaninona Azy moa izany?

7 Raha marina ianao, dia hahazoany inona moa izany? Na inona no horaisiny avy amin'ny tananao?

8 Mihatra amin'ny olona tahaka anao ihany ny ratsy ataonao; Ary mihatra amin'ny olombelona ihany ny fahamarinanao.

9 Noho ny habiazan'ny fampahoriana no itarainan'ny olona; Eny, minananana izy noho ny sandrin'ny mahery,

10 Nefa tsy misy manao hoe: Aiza Andriamanitra, Mpanao ahy, Izay mahatonga fiderana amin'ny alina,

11 Izay manome fahalalana antsika mihoatra noho ny an'ny biby ambonin'ny tany, dia Izay manome fahendrena antsika mihoatra noho ny an'ny voro-manidina?

12 Eny, mitaraina mafy ireo (fa tsy mamaly Izy) noho ny fireharehan'ny ratsy fanahy.

13 Ny fitarainam-poana dia tsy mba henoin'Andriamanitra, ary ny Tsitoha tsy mandinika izany.

14 Na dia lazainao fa tsy mahita azy aza ianao, efa mby eo anatrehany ny ady, koa tsy maintsy miandry Azy ianao.

15 Koa raha saingy tsy mihatra ny fahatezerany, moa dia tsy fantany tsara koa va ny fihaikana?

16 Mba miloa-bava foana anefa Joba ary manao teny maro tsy amim-pahalalana.

Chapitre 35

35:1 Moreover Elihu answered,

35:2 “Do you think this to be your right,
or do you say, ‘My righteousness is more than God’s,’
35:3 That you ask, ‘What advantage will it be to you?
What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?’
35:4 I will answer you,
and your companions with you.
35:5 Look to the heavens, and see.
See the skies, which are higher than you.
35:6 If you have sinned, what effect do you have against him?
If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?
35:7 If you are righteous, what do you give him?
Or what does he receive from your hand?
35:8 Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are,
and your righteousness may profit a son of man.
35:9 “By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out.
They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.
35:10 But none says, ‘Where is God my Maker,
who gives songs in the night,
35:11 who teaches us more than the animals of the earth,
and makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?’
35:12 There they cry, but none gives answer,
because of the pride of evil men.
35:13 Surely God will not hear an empty cry,
neither will the Almighty regard it.
35:14 How much less when you say you don’t see him.
The cause is before him, and you wait for him!
35:15 But now, because he has not visited in his anger,
neither does he greatly regard arrogance.
35:16 Therefore Job opens his mouth with empty talk,
and he multiplies words without knowledge.”

Chapitre 35
1 Élihu reprit et dit: 2 Imagines-tu avoir raison, Penses-tu te justifier devant Dieu, 3 Quand tu dis: Que me sert-il, Que me revient-il de ne pas pécher? 4 C'est à toi que je vais répondre, Et à tes amis en même temps. 5 Considère les cieux, et regarde! Vois les nuées, comme elles sont au-dessus de toi! 6 Si tu pèches, quel tort lui causes-tu? Et quand tes péchés se multiplient, que lui fais-tu? 7 Si tu es juste, que lui donnes-tu? Que reçoit-il de ta main? 8 Ta méchanceté ne peut nuire qu'à ton semblable, Ta justice n'est utile qu'au fils de l'homme. 9 On crie contre la multitude des oppresseurs, On se plaint de la violence d'un grand nombre; 10 Mais nul ne dit: Où est Dieu, mon créateur, Qui inspire des chants d'allégresse pendant la nuit, 11 Qui nous instruit plus que les bêtes de la terre, Et nous donne l'intelligence plus qu'aux oiseaux du ciel? 12 On a beau crier alors, Dieu ne répond pas, A cause de l'orgueil des méchants. 13 C'est en vain que l'on crie, Dieu n'écoute pas, Le Tout-Puissant n'y a point égard. 14 Bien que tu dises que tu ne le vois pas, Ta cause est devant lui: attends-le! 15 Mais, parce que sa colère ne sévit point encore, Ce n'est pas à dire qu'il ait peu souci du crime. 16 Ainsi Job ouvre vainement la bouche, Il multiplie les paroles sans intelligence.
