| | Chapitre 42 42:1 Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the room that was over against the separate place, and which was over against the building toward the north. 42:2 Before the length of one hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits. 42:3 Over against the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and over against the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the third story. 42:4 Before the rooms was a walk of ten cubits’ breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north. 42:5 Now the upper rooms were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middle, in the building. 42:6 For they were in three stories, and they didn’t have pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the uppermost was straitened more than the lowest and the middle from the ground. 42:7 The wall that was outside by the side of the rooms, toward the outer court before the rooms, its length was fifty cubits. 42:8 For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits: and behold, before the temple were one hundred cubits. 42:9 From under these rooms was the entry on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court. 42:10 In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were rooms. 42:11 The way before them was like the appearance of the way of the rooms which were toward the north; according to their length so was their breadth: and all their exits were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. 42:12 According to the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them. 42:13 Then he said to me, The north rooms and the south rooms, which are before the separate place, they are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to Yahweh shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meal offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. 42:14 When the priests enter in, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments in which they minister; for they are holy: and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which pertains to the people. 42:15 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it all around. 42:16 He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed all around. 42:17 He measured on the north side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed all around. 42:18 He measured on the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. 42:19 He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. 42:20 He measured it on the four sides: it had a wall around it, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.

1 Il me fit sortir vers le parvis extérieur du côté du septentrion, et il me conduisit aux chambres qui étaient vis-à-vis de la place vide et vis-à-vis du bâtiment, au septentrion. 2 Sur la face, où se trouvait la porte septentrionale, il y avait une longueur de cent coudées; et la largeur était de cinquante coudées. 3 C'était vis-à-vis des vingt coudées du parvis intérieur, et vis-à-vis du pavé du parvis extérieur, là où se trouvaient les galeries des trois étages. 4 Devant les chambres, il y avait une allée large de dix coudées, et une voie d'une coudée; leurs portes donnaient au septentrion. 5 Les chambres supérieures étaient plus étroites que les inférieures et que celles du milieu du bâtiment, parce que les galeries leur ôtaient de la place. 6 Il y avait trois étages, mais il n'y avait point de colonnes, comme les colonnes des parvis; c'est pourquoi, à partir du sol, les chambres du haut étaient plus étroites que celles du bas et du milieu. 7 Le mur extérieur parallèle aux chambres, du côté du parvis extérieur, devant les chambres, avait cinquante coudées de longueur; 8 car la longueur des chambres du côté du parvis extérieur était de cinquante coudées. Mais sur la face du temple il y avait cent coudées. 9 Au bas de ces chambres était l'entrée de l'orient, quand on y venait du parvis extérieur. 10 Il y avait encore des chambres sur la largeur du mur du parvis du côté de l'orient, vis-à-vis de la place vide et vis-à-vis du bâtiment. 11 Devant elles, il y avait une allée, comme devant les chambres qui étaient du côté du septentrion. La longueur et la largeur étaient les mêmes; leurs issues, leur disposition et leurs portes étaient semblables. 12 Il en était de même pour les portes des chambres du côté du midi. Il y avait une porte à la tête de l'allée, de l'allée qui se trouvait droit devant le mur du côté de l'orient, par où l'on y entrait. 13 Il me dit: Les chambres du septentrion et les chambres du midi, qui sont devant la place vide, ce sont les chambres saintes, où les sacrificateurs qui s'approchent de l'Éternel mangeront les choses très saintes; ils y déposeront les choses très saintes, les offrandes, les victimes présentées dans les sacrifices d'expiation et de culpabilité; car le lieu est saint. 14 Quand les sacrificateurs seront entrés, ils ne sortiront pas du sanctuaire pour aller dans le parvis extérieur, mais ils déposeront là les vêtements avec lesquels ils font le service, car ces vêtements sont saints; ils en mettront d'autres pour s'approcher du peuple. 15 Lorsqu'il eut achevé de mesurer la maison intérieure, il me fit sortir par la porte qui était du côté de l'orient, et il mesura l'enceinte tout autour. 16 Il mesura le côté de l'orient avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait tout autour cinq cents cannes. 17 Il mesura le côté du septentrion avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait tout autour cinq cents cannes. 18 Il mesura le côté du midi avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait cinq cents cannes. 19 Il se tourna du côté de l'occident, et mesura cinq cents cannes avec la canne qui servait de mesure. 20 Il mesura des quatre côtés le mur formant l'enceinte de la maison; la longueur était de cinq cents cannes, et la largeur de cinq cents cannes; ce mur marquait la séparation entre le saint et le profane. | |
