Chapitre 5

1 Koa amin'izany dia aoka hanahaka an'Andriamanitra ianareo tahaka ny zanaka malala;

2 ary mandehana amin'ny fitiavana, toy ny nitiavan'i Kristy anareo, dia ny nanolorany ny tenany ho fanatitra sy ho fanavotana* amin'Andriamanitra, ho hanitra ankasitrahana, hamonjy antsika. [* Gr. fanatitra alatsa-drà]

3 Fa ny fijangajangana sy ny fahalotoana rehetra, na ny fieremana, dia aza avela hotononina eo aminareo akory aza, fa tsy mahamendrika ny olona masina izany,

4 na fahavetavetana, na resaka fahadalana, na voso-dratsy, izay tsy tokony hatao, fa aleo misaotra.

5 Fa fantatrareo marimarina fa samy tsy manana lova eo amin'ny fanjakan'i Kristy sy Andriamanitra na ny mpijangajanga rehetra, na ny olom-betaveta, na ny olona mierina (mpanompo sampy izany).

6 Aza mety hofitahin'olona amin'ny teny foana ianareo; fa izany zavatra izany no mahatonga ny fahatezeran'Andriamanitra amin'ny zanaky ny tsi-fanarahana.

7 Koa aza mety ho mpiombona aminy ianareo.

8 Fa maizina ianareo fahiny, fa efa mazava ao amin'ny Tompo kosa ankehitriny; mandehana tahaka ny zanaky ny mazava

9 (fa ny vokatry ny mazava dia ao amin'ny fahatsarana rehetra sy ny fahamarinana ary ny fahitsiana),

10 mamantatra izay ankasitrahan'ny Tompo.

11 Ary aza miray amin'ny asan'ny maizina tsy mahavoka-tsoa, fa aleo mananatra izany.

12 Fa izay ataony ao amin'ny miafina, dia mahamenatra na dia ny milaza izany aza.

13 Fa ny zavatra rehetra, raha anarina, dia asehon'ny mazava; fa na inona na inona aseho dia mazava.

14 Koa izany no ilazany hoe: Mifohaza ianao izay matory, Ary mitsangàna amin'ny maty, Dia hampahazava anao Kristy.

15 Koa tandremo tsara izay fandehanareo, mba tsy hitondranareo tena tahaka ny adala, fa tahaka ny hendry,

16 ka hararaoty ny andro azo anaovan-tsoa, fa ratsy izao fiainana izao.

17 Ary noho izany dia aza manao adaladala, fa aoka ho fantatrareo izay sitrapon'ny Tompo.

18 Ary aza ho mamon-divay ianareo, fa amin'izany dia misy fanaranam-po amin'ny ratsy, fa aoka hofenoina ny Fanahy,

19 ka mifampilazà amin'ny salamo sy ny fihirana ary ny tonon-kiram-panahy, dia mihira sy mikalo ao am-ponareo ho an'ny Tompo,

20 misaotra an'Andriamanitra Ray mandrakariva noho ny zavatra rehetra, amin'ny anaran'i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika,

21 sady mifanaiky amin'ny fahatahorana an'i Kristy,

22 Hianareo vehivavy, maneke ny vadinareo tahaka ny anekena ny Tompo.

23 Fa ny lahy no lohan'ny vavy, dia tahaka an'i Kristy koa no Lohan'ny fiangonana*; ary Izy no mpamonjy ny tena. [* Gr. eklesia]

24 Fa tahaka ny aneken'ny fiangonana* an'i Kristy no haneken'ny vavy ny lahy koa amin'ny zavatra rehetra. [* Gr. eklesia]

25 Hianareo lehilahy, tiava ny vadinareo, dia tahaka ny nitiavan'i Kristy ny fiangonana* ka nanolorany ny tenany hamonjy azy, [* Gr. eklesia]

26 mba hahamasina azy amin'ny anadiovany azy amin'ny rano fanasana amin'ny teny;

27 mba horaisiny* ho an'ny tenany izany ho fiangonana** malaza tsy misy pentimpentina, na fiketronana, na izay toy izany, fa mba ho masina sady tsy misy tsiny izy. [* Gr. hatolony] [** Gr. eklesia]

28 Dia tahaka izany koa, ny lehilahy tokony ho tia ny vadiny tahaka ny tenany ihany. Izay tia ny vadiny dia tia ny tenany.

29 Fa tsy mba nisy olona tsy tia ny nofony, fa mamelona sy mitaiza azy, dia tahaka an'i Kristy amin'ny fiangonana*; [ Gr. eklesia]

30 fa momba ny tenany isika.

31 Ary noho izany ny lehilahy dia handao ny rainy sy ny reniny ka hiray amin'ny vadiny, ary dia ho nofo iray ihany izy roroa (Gen. 2. 24).

32 Zava-miafina lehibe izany; fa milaza ny amin'i Kristy sy ny fiangonana* aho. [* Gr. eklesia]

33 Na dia izany aza, samia tia ny vadiny tahaka ny tenany ianareo lehilahy rehetra, ary aoka kosa ny vavy hanaja* ny lahy. *[ Gr. hatahotra]

Chapitre 5

5:1 Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children. 5:2 Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance. 5:3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints; 5:4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.

5:5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. 5:7 Therefore don’t be partakers with them. 5:8 For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, 5:9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, 5:10 proving what is well pleasing to the Lord. 5:11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. 5:12 For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of. 5:13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light. 5:14 Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

5:15 Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise; 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 5:17 Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 5:18 Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 5:20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father; 5:21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.

5:22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. 5:24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.

5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 5:26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 5:27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 5:28 Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. 5:29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; 5:30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. 5:31 “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.”* 5:32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. 5:33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Chapitre 5
1 Devenez donc les imitateurs de Dieu, comme des enfants bien-aimés; 2 et marchez dans la charité, à l'exemple de Christ, qui nous a aimés, et qui s'est livré lui-même à Dieu pour nous comme une offrande et un sacrifice de bonne odeur. 3 Que l'impudicité, qu'aucune espèce d'impureté, et que la cupidité, ne soient pas même nommées parmi vous, ainsi qu'il convient à des saints. 4 Qu'on n'entende ni paroles déshonnêtes, ni propos insensés, ni plaisanteries, choses qui sont contraires à la bienséance; qu'on entende plutôt des actions de grâces. 5 Car, sachez-le bien, aucun impudique, ou impur, ou cupide, c'est-à-dire, idolâtre, n'a d'héritage dans le royaume de Christ et de Dieu. 6 Que personne ne vous séduise par de vains discours; car c'est à cause de ces choses que la colère de Dieu vient sur les fils de la rébellion. 7 N'ayez donc aucune part avec eux. 8 Autrefois vous étiez ténèbres, et maintenant vous êtes lumière dans le Seigneur. Marchez comme des enfants de lumière! 9 Car le fruit de la lumière consiste en toute sorte de bonté, de justice et de vérité. 10 Examinez ce qui est agréable au Seigneur; 11 et ne prenez point part aux oeuvres infructueuses des ténèbres, mais plutôt condamnez-les. 12 Car il est honteux de dire ce qu'ils font en secret; 13 mais tout ce qui est condamné est manifesté par la lumière, car tout ce qui est manifesté est lumière. 14 C'est pour cela qu'il est dit: Réveille-toi, toi qui dors, Relève-toi d'entre les morts, Et Christ t'éclairera. 15 Prenez donc garde de vous conduire avec circonspection, non comme des insensés, mais comme des sages; 16 rachetez le temps, car les jours sont mauvais. 17 C'est pourquoi ne soyez pas inconsidérés, mais comprenez quelle est la volonté du Seigneur. 18 Ne vous enivrez pas de vin: c'est de la débauche. Soyez, au contraire, remplis de l'Esprit; 19 entretenez-vous par des psaumes, par des hymnes, et par des cantiques spirituels, chantant et célébrant de tout votre coeur les louanges du Seigneur; 20 rendez continuellement grâces pour toutes choses à Dieu le Père, au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, 21 vous soumettant les uns aux autres dans la crainte de Christ. 22 Femmes, soyez soumises à vos maris, comme au Seigneur; 23 car le mari est le chef de la femme, comme Christ est le chef de l'Église, qui est son corps, et dont il est le Sauveur. 24 Or, de même que l'Église est soumise à Christ, les femmes aussi doivent l'être à leurs maris en toutes choses. 25 Maris, aimez vos femmes, comme Christ a aimé l'Église, et s'est livré lui-même pour elle, 26 afin de la sanctifier par la parole, après l'avoir purifiée par le baptême d'eau, 27 afin de faire paraître devant lui cette Église glorieuse, sans tache, ni ride, ni rien de semblable, mais sainte et irrépréhensible. 28 C'est ainsi que les maris doivent aimer leurs femmes comme leurs propres corps. Celui qui aime sa femme s'aime lui-même. 29 Car jamais personne n'a haï sa propre chair; mais il la nourrit et en prend soin, comme Christ le fait pour l'Église, 30 parce que nous sommes membres de son corps. 31 C'est pourquoi l'homme quittera son père et sa mère, et s'attachera à sa femme, et les deux deviendront une seule chair. 32 Ce mystère est grand; je dis cela par rapport à Christ et à l'Église. 33 Du reste, que chacun de vous aime sa femme comme lui-même, et que la femme respecte son mari.
