Chapitre 34

4 Dia hoy Jehovah taminy: Io no tany izay nianianako tamin'i Abrahama sy Isaka ary Jakoba hoe: Homeko ny taranakao izy; nataoko mahita azy ny masonao, nefa tsy ho tafita ho tonga eny ianao.

5 Ary Mosesy, mpanompon'i Jehovah, dia maty teo amin'ny tany Moaba araka ny tenin'i Jehovah.

6 Ary naleviny tao an-dohasaha tao amin'ny tany Moaba, tandrifin'i Beti-peora, izy; ka tsy misy olona mahalala ny fasany mandraka androany.

7 Efa roa-polo amby zato taona Mosesy vao maty; ary tsy pahina ny masony, na nihena ny heriny.

8 Ary ny Zanak'Isiraely nisaona an'i Mosesy telo-polo andro teo Arbota-moaba; dia tapitra ny andro fitomaniana nisaonana an'i Mosesy.

9 Ary Josoa, zanak'i Nona, dia feno ny fanahim-pahendrena, fa efa nametrahan'i Mosesy tanana izy; dia nihaino azy ny Zanak'Isiraely ka nanao araka izay nandidian'i Jehovah an'i Mosesy.

12 ary tamin'ny herin-tanana rehetra sy ny fampahatahorana lehibe rehetra, izay nasehon'i Mosesy teo imason'ny Isiraely rehetra.

Chapitre 34
34:1 Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan, 34:2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the hinder sea, 34:3 and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar. 34:4 Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

34:5 So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Yahweh. 34:6 He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth Peor: but no man knows of his tomb to this day. 34:7 Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. 34:8 The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. 34:9 Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him: and the children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses. 34:10 There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face, 34:11 in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 34:12 and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses worked in the sight of all Israel.

Chapitre 34
1 Moïse monta des plaines de Moab sur le mont Nebo, au sommet du Pisga, vis-à-vis de Jéricho. Et l'Éternel lui fit voir tout le pays: (34:2) Galaad jusqu'à Dan, 2 tout Nephthali, le pays d'Éphraïm et de Manassé, tout le pays de Juda jusqu'à la mer occidentale, 3 le midi, les environs du Jourdain, la vallée de Jéricho, la ville des palmiers, jusqu'à Tsoar. 4 L'Éternel lui dit: C'est là le pays que j'ai juré de donner à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, en disant: Je le donnerai à ta postérité. Je te l'ai fait voir de tes yeux; mais tu n'y entreras point. 5 Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, mourut là, dans le pays de Moab, selon l'ordre de l'Éternel. 6 Et l'Éternel l'enterra dans la vallée, au pays de Moab, vis-à-vis de Beth-Peor. Personne n'a connu son sépulcre jusqu'à ce jour. 7 Moïse était âgé de cent vingt ans lorsqu'il mourut; sa vue n'était point affaiblie, et sa vigueur n'était point passée. 8 Les enfants d'Israël pleurèrent Moïse pendant trente jours, dans les plaines de Moab; et ces jours de pleurs et de deuil sur Moïse arrivèrent à leur terme. 9 Josué, fils de Nun, était rempli de l'esprit de sagesse, car Moïse avait posé ses mains sur lui. Les enfants d'Israël lui obéirent, et se conformèrent aux ordres que l'Éternel avait donnés à Moïse. 10 Il n'a plus paru en Israël de prophète semblable à Moïse, que l'Éternel connaissait face à face. 11 Nul ne peut lui être comparé pour tous les signes et les miracles que Dieu l'envoya faire au pays d'Égypte contre Pharaon, contre ses serviteurs et contre tout son pays, 12 et pour tous les prodiges de terreur que Moïse accomplit à main forte sous les yeux de tout Israël.
