Chapitre 22

1 Dia hoy Davida: Eto no ho tranon'i Jehovah Andriamanitra, ary eto no ho alitara fandoroana ny fanatitra dorana ho an'ny Isiraely.

2 [Ny namorian'i Davida ny zavatra ho enti-manao ny tempoly, sy ny hafatra nataony ny amin'ny hanaovana azy] Ary nasain'i Davida novorina ny olona hafa firenena izay tany amin'ny tanin'ny Isiraely, ka nanendreny tambato hipai-bato hanaovana ny tranon' Andriamanitra.

3 Ary Davida nahavonona vy betsaka hatao hombon'ny lela-vavahady sy ny fikambanany, ary varahina betsaka tsy hita lanja

4 sy hazo sedera tsy hita isa; fa ny mponina tany Sidona sy Tyro nitondra hazo sedera betsaka ho any amin'i Davida.

5 Fa hoy Davida: Solomona zanako mbola zaza sady tanora fanahy, ary ny trano hatao ho an'i Jehovah dia tsy maintsy ho lehibe indrindra, mba hiely any amin'ny tany rehetra ny lazany sy ny voninahiny, koa hovononiko rahateo ny zavatra ho enti-manao azy. 6 Ary niantso an'i Solomona zanany izy va nandidy azy hanao trano ho an'i Jehovah, andriamanitry ny Isiraely,

7 ary nanao taminy hoe: Anaka, efa mby tato am-poko ny hanao trano ho an'ny anaran'i Jehovah Andriamanitro;

8 saingy nisy tenin'i Jehovah tonga tamiko* nanao hoe: Be ny rà efa nalatsakao, ary ady lehibe no efa nataonao; koa tsy mahazo manao trano ho an'ny anarako ianao, satria be ny rà efa nalatsakao tamin'ny tany teo imasoko.[Na: ny amiko]

9 Fa, indro, ianao hiteraka zazalahy, izay ho lehilahy miadana, ary hampiadaniko tsy hisy hahazo azy ny fahavalony rehetra manodidina; koa ny anarany dia hatao hoe Solomona*; ary hampiadaniko sy hampandriko fahizay ny Isiraely amin'ny androny.[Solomona = Miadana]

10 Izy no hanao trano ho an'ny anarako; ary izy ho zanako, ary Izaho ho rainy, ary Izaho hampitoetra ny seza fiandrianan'ny fanjakany amin'ny Isiraely mandrakizay.

11 Koa ankehitriny, anaka, ho aminao anie Jehovah, ka hambinina anie ianao, fa ataovy ny tranon'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao araka izay nilazany anao.

12 Ary homen'i Jehovah saina sy fahendrena anie ianao ka hatsangany ho mpanapaka ny Isiraely, mba hitandremanao ny lalan'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao.

13 Ary amin'izany dia hambinina ianao, raha mitandrina hankatò ny lalàna sy ny fitsipika izay nandidian'i Jehovah an'i Mosesy ho an'ny Isiraely; mahereza sy matanjaha; aza matahotra na mivadi-po.

14 Ary, he! fa na dia be fahoriana aza aho, dia nahavory talenta volamena iray hetsy sy talenta volafotsy iray tapitrisa ary varahina sy vy betsaka tsy hita lanja ho enti-manao ny tranon'i Jehovah; ary efa nahavonona hazo sy vato koa aho; ka dia ampionao kosa ireo.

15 Ary koa, efa manana mpiasa betsaka ianao, dia mpikapa hazo sy tambato sy mpandrafitra ary olona mahay ny asa samy hafa rehetra.

16 Ny volamena sy ny volafotsy ary ny varahina sy ny vy dia tsy hita isa. Koa mitsangàna ianao, ka manaova, ary homba anao anie Jehovah.

17 Ary Davida nandidy ny lehibe rehetra tamin'ny Isiraely hanampy an'i Solomona zanany hoe:

18 Tsy momba anareo va Jehovah Andriamanitrareo ka efa nampiadana anareo amin'ny manodidina? Fa efa natolony teo an-tanako ny mponina amin'ny tany; ary ny tany efa resy teo anoloan'i Jehovah sy teo anoloan'ny olony.

19 Koa ankehitriny ampitadiavo an'i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo ny fonareo sy ny fanahinareo, ka mitsangàna, ary manaova ny fitoerana masina ho an'i Jehovah Andriamanitra, hampidirana ny fiaran'ny faneken'i Jehovah sy ny fanaka masin'Andriamanitra ho ao amin'ny trano izay hatao ho an'ny anaran'i Jehovah.

Chapitre 22

1 Then David said, “This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

2 David gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to cut worked stones to build God’s house.

3 David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings; and brass in abundance without weight;

4 and cedar trees without number: for the Sidonians and they of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.

5 David said, “Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.

6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.

7 David said to Solomon his son, “As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.

8 But the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, ‘You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

9 Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

10 He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.’

11 Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

12 May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.

13 Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong, and courageous. Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed.

14 Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Yahweh one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.

15 There are also workmen with you in abundance, cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work:

16 of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and may Yahweh be with you.”

17 David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

18 “Isn’t Yahweh your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh, and before his people.

19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek after Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yahweh.”

Chapitre 22
1 Et David dit: Ici sera la maison de l'Éternel Dieu, et ici sera l'autel des holocaustes pour Israël.

2 David fit rassembler les étrangers qui étaient dans le pays d'Israël, et il chargea des tailleurs de pierres de préparer des pierres de taille pour la construction de la maison de Dieu.

3 Il prépara aussi du fer en abondance pour les clous des battants des portes et pour les crampons, de l'airain en quantité telle qu'il n'était pas possible de le peser,

4 et des bois de cèdre sans nombre, car les Sidoniens et les Tyriens avaient amené à David des bois de cèdre en abondance.

5 David disait: Mon fils Salomon est jeune et d'un âge faible, et la maison qui sera bâtie à l'Éternel s'élèvera à un haut degré de renommée et de gloire dans tous les pays; c'est pourquoi je veux faire pour lui des préparatifs. Et David fit beaucoup de préparatifs avant sa mort.

6 David appela Salomon, son fils, et lui ordonna de bâtir une maison à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.

7 David dit à Salomon: Mon fils, j'avais l'intention de bâtir une maison au nom de l'Éternel, mon Dieu.

8 Mais la parole de l'Éternel m'a été ainsi adressée: Tu as versé beaucoup de sang, et tu as fait de grandes guerres; tu ne bâtiras pas une maison à mon nom, car tu as versé devant moi beaucoup de sang sur la terre.

9 Voici, il te naîtra un fils, qui sera un homme de repos, et à qui je donnerai du repos en le délivrant de tous ses ennemis d'alentour; car Salomon sera son nom, et je ferai venir sur Israël la paix et la tranquillité pendant sa vie.

10 Ce sera lui qui bâtira une maison à mon nom. Il sera pour moi un fils, et je serai pour lui un père; et j'affermirai pour toujours le trône de son royaume en Israël.

11 Maintenant, mon fils, que l'Éternel soit avec toi, afin que tu prospères et que tu bâtisses la maison de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, comme il l'a déclaré à ton égard!

12 Veuille seulement l'Éternel t'accorder de la sagesse et de l'intelligence, et te faire régner sur Israël dans l'observation de la loi de l'Éternel, ton Dieu!

13 Alors tu prospéreras, si tu as soin de mettre en pratique les lois et les ordonnances que l'Éternel a prescrites à Moïse pour Israël. Fortifie-toi et prends courage, ne crains point et ne t'effraie point.

14 Voici, par mes efforts, j'ai préparé pour la maison de l'Éternel cent mille talents d'or, un million de talents d'argent, et une quantité d'airain et de fer qu'il n'est pas possible de peser, car il y en a en abondance; j'ai aussi préparé du bois et des pierres, et tu en ajouteras encore.

15 Tu as auprès de toi un grand nombre d'ouvriers, des tailleurs de pierres, et des charpentiers, et des hommes habiles dans toute espèce d'ouvrages.

16 L'or, l'argent, l'airain et le fer, sont sans nombre. Lève-toi et agis, et que l'Éternel soit avec toi!

17 David ordonna à tous les chefs d'Israël de venir en aide à Salomon, son fils.

18 L'Éternel, votre Dieu, n'est-il pas avec vous, et ne vous a-t-il pas donné du repos de tous côtés? Car il a livré entre mes mains les habitants du pays, et le pays est assujetti devant l'Éternel et devant son peuple.

19 Appliquez maintenant votre coeur et votre âme à chercher l'Éternel, votre Dieu; levez-vous, et bâtissez le sanctuaire de l'Éternel Dieu, afin d'amener l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel et les ustensiles consacrés à Dieu dans la maison qui sera bâtie au nom de l'Éternel.
